4-H Saskatchewan Club Week and Sustainability Initiative
Each year, 4-H clubs from across Saskatchewan work together to give back to our communities through our Annual Sustainability Initiative, which happens during Club Week. The goal of the Sustainability Initiative is to bring more awareness to 4-H and the great things our members do in their home communities. After all, 4-H is committed to building a better club, community, country, and world!
The first Wednesday in November is Show Your 4-H Colours Day! This is a day to celebrate all things 4-H. Wear green or your 4-H clothes and spread the message of 4-H with the world. |
Leaderama
Leaderama is a one-day event, held in two locations in the province on the same day. This event goes out to the regions to connect with members and leaders to get them prepared and excited for the new membership year.

Judging
Judging is an important life skill that teaches the process of evaluation and how to identify important characteristics that can improve quality in an item or animal. Judging can be fun and challenging, but it can also be very rewarding.
Many livestock clubs, districts or regions organize judging clinics throughout the year, where members learn how to judge a class of animals or items, as well as how to present their choices. Also, many agricultural societies and exhibition associations offer livestock judging competitions to members. |
Equine Symposium
Although this clinic was originally for Young Horse Project members, it has expanded to have something for all horse members! There is a live demonstration with a young horse by a well-known presenter, some hands-on activities and more! Some topics in the past have included a farrier demonstration, equine first aid, equine assisted learning and equine nutrition.

Beef Symposium

Beef Symposium is a one day hands on clinic that aims to provide beef members, and those interested in the beef industry, with practical, hands-on experience and learning in areas related to preparing and showing beef cattle, beef production, health and nutrition, and safe animal handling.
Sessions have included judging, grooming, clipping, marketing, and genetics. This event helps to aid in the development of farm management knowledge and skills of youth, which will ensure a brighter future for the beef industry in Saskatchewan.
Summer
4-H Summer Camp
4-H Summer Camp provides an opportunity for 4-H members across Saskatchewan to meet in a safe, fun, and inclusive environment. Summer camp allows members ages nine and up to attend as either a counsellor or camper, and these members will be able to participate in programming based around the four 4-H pillars while having the opportunity to make new friends, develop self-confidence, and build teamwork, leadership, and decision-making skills. By focusing on hands-on learning programs, participants will “Learn to Do By Doing” and increase their knowledge of 4-H, agriculture, their community, and much more.
