Do You Have to Live on a Farm to Join 4-H?
No, you do not have to live on a farm to join 4-H. While 4-H has strong roots in agriculture, there are many different projects and opportunities available for all interests and backgrounds. Members can participate in activities such as leadership, public speaking, arts, cooking, outdoor recreation, community service, and more. 4-H welcomes youth from both rural and urban communities. Not all projects require a project animal. For some projects that do require a project animal, it is possible to loan or borrow one, especially when new to 4-H. |

How do I become involved with 4-H?
4-H is a club-based program, which means that all members must be registered with a 4-H club. There are clubs located across Saskatchewan that offer a variety of projects, activities, and leadership opportunities for youth ages 6-21. Most clubs welcome new members in the fall, as the 4-H year runs from September 1st-August 31st.
