 Recipes for success 4-H Saskatchewan ​Cookbooks

Saskatchewan 4-H Cookbooks are available for sale, individually or as a club fundraiser.

There are four volumes, each one containing 100's of recipes submitted by Saskatchewan 4-H Families. Clubs can purchase Volume 1, 2, 3 or 4 for $10 each with a minimum order of 20. The recommended selling price is $15 - $20.

insulated Freezer Totes

4-H Saskatchewan reusable freezer tote bags are fully insulated with a heat-sealed water resistant lining.  Its zippered main compartment features a front open pocket and double handles.  This tote is perfect for groceries! 

Freezer totes can be purchased for $8 each from the 4-H office.  The recommended selling price is $15.  Minimum order of 20.

Due to the generosity of UFA, $300 per club or district is available in the areas that UFA serves (COrman Park, yorkton, weyburn, swift current, kindersley, macklin, lloydminster,)

​Journey to the Future Sustainability Grant

Complete the Journey 2050, Farmers 2050, Watershed Detective, and/or Watershed Explorer games, or any of the Seed Survivor games and then tell us how you could apply what you’ve learned from these games to better your club, your community, your country, or the world. Your project can be anything that will help create a more sustainable community for the future! You could win $2,000 to make it happen! A total of $5,000 is available:
Step One
Complete Journey 2050, Farmers 2050, Watershed Detective and/or Watershed Explorer.

Journey 2050
An educational game taking students on a virtual simulation which explores world food sustainability.

Farmers 2050
An educational game to learn about growing crops, raising livestock, selling goods, and engaging partners to feed a growing population.

Watershed Detective
An educational game which explores various problems watersheds may face and how to solve these problems.

Watershed Explorer
An education game which explores what may be found in a Canadian watershed and the important role biodiversity plays.

Step Two
Create your own Sustainability Intiative – Brainstorm ideas on how you can implement what you have learned from the above programs into your own community. Your project can be anything that will help to create a more sustainable community for the future!
Step Three
Apply for the Journey to the Future Sustainability Grant – Proposals can be submitted in writing with accompanying pictures/drawings, or as a video. Written proposals should be no more than 2,000 words and videos should be a maximum of five minutes long.

2022 Previous Winners

The 2022 winners that received Journey to the Future Sustainability Grant funds were:
  • The Boreal Rangers Outdoor Adventure 4-H Club completed a project on water education, water testing, and waterway cleanup.
  • The Toon Town 4-H Club completed a project on cleaning up garbage from Blackstrap Lake. 

Great job on helping to keep our community sustainable!

Partner Fundraisers

STARS Calendars
4-H Saskatchewan has partnered with STARS Air Ambulance to offer an exciting fundraising opportunity for 4-H clubs: selling STARS Calendars. ​

So, how does it work? Clubs that choose to participate will receive STARS Calendars which they can sell. Each STARS Calendar can be sold for $30, with clubs keeping $9 per calendar sold. Visit the website for more details.
