Travel awards are PACKED with OPPORTUNITY for both members and leaders. Meet new friends, learn new skills, travel to other provinces and represent 4-H Saskatchewan. The trips are awarded to deserving senior members based on their leadership with the 4-H program and their communities. Leaders with two or more years of service are also invited to apply for travel and chaperone opportunities. The deadline and number of delegates traveling for awards vary depending on the program. Member Opportunities
NATIONAL 4-H CITIZENSHIP CONFERENCE
The 4-H Canada Citizenship Congress will deepen your understanding of governance and public policy, nurture your communication skills and expand your horizons as you discover Canada through the nation’s capital. Workshops will culminate with the annual debate, where you and your fellow members will construct insightful arguments and practice your skills of persuasion and public speaking. Ultimately you’ll learn more about Canada, its government and yourself.

U.S. NATIONAL 4-H CONFERENCE
The annual US National 4-H Conference (4-h.org/4-h-conference/) is the premiere civic engagement opportunity for 4-H members across the U.S., Canada and globally. Participating 4-H Canada members will put their newly developed and refined skills into practice in a real world setting. Conference delegates choose an important societal topic and in round table groups prepare a formal briefing. Presentations of these briefing are to U.S. federal officials around the Washington, D.C. area. In addition to the conference activities, 4-H Canada delegates also have a chance to tour Washington and visit some of the nation’s famous cultural and political sites; including the Lincoln Memorial and Capitol Hill.

4-H CANADA NATIONAL MEMBER'S FORUM
First offered in 1931, 4-H Canada’s Members Forum is the longest-running program in Canada. This annual gathering of 4-H members from across Canada is an opportunity for youth to participate in national calibre positive youth development based programming, experience top-tier agricultural exhibitions, and develop strong bonds with youth from across the country. Typically hosted in Toronto during the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, but has been held in other cities.

Leader Opportunities
4-H CANADA NATIONAL LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
This conference is an opportunity to explore a variety of programs and topics of interest through all four of 4-H Canada’s Leadership Development Pillars. Participants can expect to learn more about 4-H in other provinces, share best practices on everything from general club topics to boards to provincial policies, learn more about 4-H Canada programs, and have lots of fun. Information about the 2021 conference is to be determined.
