4-H Saskatchewan was proud to host our first annual Provincial 4-H Livestock Show in Melfort on August 9-11, 2024. The aim of the event was to showcase the hard work of our members, and it did just that! Members travelled from all corners of the province to compete in team grooming, showmanship, and conformation classes.  Provincial 4-H Judging was held this past weekend on August 9th and 10th, 2024. The event was hosted by Swift Current Ag & Ex and had 43 competitors taking part in the 2-day event. Friday kicked off with registration and a welcome followed by judging one of the classes. 4-H members then got to mingle at the social activity, which was mini golf. On Saturday morning, competitors completed the remaining classes, along with a quiz. In the afternoon, they gave their oral reasons for several of the classes and engaged in some fun mystery classes. We finished Saturday with the Awards Banquet which included a lovely meal and the announcement of who would be moving on to compete in the Canadian National 4-H & Youth Judging Competition. All members who participated in Provincial Judging did an amazing job and we would like to congratulate them all on their hard work over the weekend.
