A resolution is a suggestion to change a 4-H bylaw or policy that effects how the 4-H program in Saskatchewan operates. All 4-H District Councils can submit resolutions for discussion at Annual General Meeting before the resolution deadline of January 31, 2017. These resolutions are submitted for discussion at AGM 2017.
The following are the resoultions, which will be discussed at the 2017 AGM on March 25-26 at the Saskatoon Inn. You can take these resolutions to your district meetings and discuss how your district delegate should vote at AGM.
PROPOSED CHANGES TO BYLAWS
BYLAW 4.02 b BE CHANGED TO READ
Each Region Council is entitled to:
i. elect, from among the 4-H Leaders in their Region, three individuals to be their Region 4-H Leader director nominees to the Provincial Council; and
ii. elect, from among the 4-H Members in their Region, one individual to represent that Region on the Advisory Council.
NOTE: Previously, it read ‘from among the 4-H Leader delegates…” and “4-H member delegates…”. This limited the opportunity to be considered for a position on the board or advisory committee to delegates at AGM. The intent is to allow any 4-H leader or 4-H member to be considered for a position on the board or advisory council.
PROPOSED CHANGES TO POLICY
Submitted by the Board of Directors – January 28, 2017
BE IT RESOLVED: That the Deadline to Submit a Resolution be December 31 of the membership year.
